Make that a delightful read, and one that the grownups should read after their kids are done, as it gets pretty much everything right. “Impact”Ken Murphy / 1:14 am January 17th, 2010 Preston, Douglas Librarian’s Note: Not what I expected, and certainly some speculative science fiction, with a couple of interesting twists at the end. “Miss Astronaut Barbie®” (doll)Ken Murphy / 12:58 am January 17th, 2010 Mattel Inc. Librarian’s Note: The third Barbie® added to the Lunar Library, this one is a reproduction of a 1965 model that arrived just in time for the Gemini program. From the package:
P.S. I’m still waiting for the Barbie® Dream™ ISS/Bigelow Module. “Moon” (DVD)Ken Murphy / 1:26 am January 13th, 2010 Jones, Duncan (Dir.) Librarian’s Note: Will this be the movie that demonstrates to the movie studios that there is in fact a market for smart science fiction? Whilst compiling the Lunar Library entry for this item it was ranked #10 (blu-ray) and #26 (DVD) at Amazon, and when I went to my local electronics bigbox to pick up a copy I got the next to last one. Personally, I like the way the movie examines the philosophical question of the industrialization of human beings via cloning. “Popular Science: The New Space Rush”Ken Murphy / 4:42 am January 12th, 2010 Popular Science “Moonshot India: Chandrayaan-1 - The mission complete”Ken Murphy / 2:33 am January 12th, 2010 Laxman, Srinivas “Sky and Telescope: Special Moon Issue”Ken Murphy / 2:21 am January 12th, 2010 Sky & Telescope “Inside Science: Moon and Tides”Ken Murphy / 2:13 am January 12th, 2010 Lang, Rob “Inside Science: Comets and Meteors”Ken Murphy / 2:11 am January 12th, 2010 Kelley, Jane “Inside Science: Space Station”Ken Murphy / 2:09 am January 12th, 2010 O’Brien, Bill “Moon Zoom”Ken Murphy / 2:05 am January 1st, 2010 Sims, Leslie.
