Librarian’s Note: Wow! Braille Moon books. Wow! These are amazing. Four pages of basic text, with the braille as raised, kind of like hardened-glue, bumps underlying their corresponding graphic letter. The pages are folded cardstock for durability. The wire binding is a bit tight, so there may be excess wear from the turning of pages. The best part is the eight pages of Moon renderings. They step from New through Full Moon and to Waning Crescent. It is shown photographically, on a black box, with the circumference again in hard-glue raised dashes. On each visible part of the Moon the Mare are ringed, and the craters are raised, shaped to their outline. Brighter ray fields also have an outline. Glows in the dark, too. The only thing missing is identification of the major features, which would require further guidance. I’m going to go nerd out for a while and maybe learn a bit of braille. Full Moon at perigee rating, without question.
