Librarian’s Note: When I was traveling to Strasbourg for my year at International Space University back in 2000, I stopped in Paris to visit my girlfriend F____, and spent an afternoon at the Musée d’Orsay basking in 150 years of photographs of the Moon. This may have been the moment that I first truly fell in love with the Moon, and the exhibition poster (same as the book cover) has been on my wall ever since. I was too poor to pick up the program book at the time, but I’m happy to have finally added it to the Lunar Library.

WOW, what a neat exhibit! (Criminy, what a price!! And yet… this book, I must have…) Sounds like the experience of a lifetime — how much of the exhibit is reproduced in the book, would you say? All of it? Most of it?

Hi Danielle,

If you click on the cover image, it should take you to the Amazon.fr page, where I’m sure you’ll find the price much more agreeable, though the shipping takes longer.

Everything that really stuck in my head from the exhibit is found in the book, and there’s a lot of explanatory text (in French), so I’d say it’s pretty comprehensive. I’m thinking this one has a date with my scanner
